RedmiBook comes with free Microsoft Office 2019 license. All you need to do is to claim the license before you wipe out the Chinese Windows operating system from the hard disk.
After Microsoft Windows is successfully re-installed on RedmiBook, you can re-install Office 2019 and use it for free. Bring up Microsoft Edge browser and go to www.office.com.
Sign in to the same Microsoft account that you claimed the office license previously. Click on “Office Home & Student 2019”.
Click “Install” to download the Office setup program.
On Download and install Office page, it shows the default version. If it is not your preferred language, click “Other options” and select your own language.
You can also select 64-bit or 32-bit Office besides choosing your language. I would recommend to use 64-bit office. Click “Install” to download the office setup program.
The Office setup program is downloading. Wait for its completion.
After download is complete, click “Run” to start Office setup.
After Office is installed on your notebook. Run Excel and click “Get started” and accept the office license.
Microsoft will activate the office suite for this notebook. The Office license has no expiry date and you can use it for life. Nothing to pay.
You need to use the same Microsoft account that you claimed the Office license in Chinese Windows to activate the office after you install a new Windows operating system. The office license is linked to your Microsoft account for life.
